Jakarta, June 19, 2025 — The Board of Trustees (MWA) of Hasanuddin University took part in the strategic program of the PTNBH MWA Forum with the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, which took place in the Minister of Finance Meeting Room, Directorate General of Taxes, Cakti Building, South Jakarta. The event, held on June 19, 2025, was a follow-up to a series of MWA PTNBH hearings with the government in an effort to strengthen governance and management of assets and human resources within State-Owned Legal Entity Universities (PTNBH).
This event was attended by the Chair of the MWA Unhas, Prof. Dr. Andi Alimuddin Unde, M.Si, as well as MWA leaders from various PTNBHs in Indonesia. On this occasion, the PTNBH MWA Forum, led by the Chair of the Undip MWA, Prof. Moh. Natsir, proposed that regulations on asset utilization be reviewed to accelerate the licensing process and provide flexibility in strategic cooperation. In addition, it is hoped that the restructuring of the allocation of civil servant positions for PTNBH can be implemented immediately through a cross-ministerial mechanism.
The Minister of Finance welcomed the input positively and expressed her commitment to coordinating further discussions with the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform. The Minister also promised to identify real issues in the field for the reformulation of regulations on the utilization of state assets by PTNBH. At the end of the discussion, the Minister of Finance did not forget to emphasize the importance of maintaining synergy between agencies in order to create a more efficient and adaptive financial and asset management system.
The participation of MWA Unhas in this forum is a manifestation of its commitment to strengthening accountability and professionalism in higher education governance. The forum also serves as an important space for networking, sharing experiences, and developing collective recommendations to realize Good University Governance in the era of higher education autonomy.
With strong synergy between PTNBH and the central government, it is hoped that various bureaucratic obstacles can be immediately overcome, encouraging the transformation of PTNBH into an independent, professional, and highly competitive institution.
