The Board of Trustees is one of the important organs in a Legal Entity Higher Education Institution (PTN-BH) which has the main duties and functions of determining general policies and direction of university development, giving approval to strategic policies taken by the chancellor, supervising and monitoring strategic assets, and developing collaborative networks in order to maintain the university’s financial health.

The Unhas MWA management period is four years from its inception in 2023. In running the organization and carrying out the MWA’s main duties, a work plan and annual budget are needed as a reference. This document also sets out work programs and performance indicators which serve as a baseline in determining the direction of the MWA’s monitoring and evaluation function.

The work program is a MWA activity plan created for the time period of MWA management. As the beginning of the MWA organization, a detailed and directed work program was prepared as a guide for implementing important agendas. The work program is an important element for MWA to achieve organizational goals. With the existence of a work program, each MWA element can carry out its main duties and functions in a more structured manner. The work program also becomes a benchmark for achieving targets from the implementation of the MWA’s main duties and functions, the results of which will be evaluated at the end of the management period. Thus, the MWA held a work meeting to prepare the 2023 MWA work program.

The Unhas MWA Working Meeting activities were held from Tuesday to Wednesday, 11-12 July 2023 at the Mochtar Riadi Room, Menara Kadin Jakarta, attended by the leadership and members of the Unhas MWA. Present representing the Governor of South Sulawesi was Mr. Dr. Muh. Iqbal Suhaeb (Secretary of South Sulawesi Province) while the Chair of IKA Unhas was represented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Yusran Yahya, M.Sc. (Secretary General of IKA Unhas). On this occasion, all MWA members including community representatives, lecturer representatives and staff representatives were also present.

The Working Meeting was opened by the Chair of the MWA, Prof. Dr. Andi Alimuddin Unde, MA, which was preceded by instructions from the Chancellor of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc. and conveying the main ideas of Mr. Tony Wenas as a member of the MWA representing the community. After the opening, the working meeting continued with discussion of the successive work programs of Commission I led by Deputy Chairman I, Mr. Prof. Dr. Ir. Muh. Arsyad Thaha, MT. accompanied by the Chairman of Commission I Prof. Dr. Drg. Andi Zulkifli, M.Kes, continued the work program of Commission II led by Deputy Chair II, Prof. Dr. Ir. Andi Niartiningsih, MP. Accompanied by the Chair of Commission II, Prof. Dr. Drg. Hasanuddin Tahir, MS. Sp. Perio (K). After discussing the work program of Commissions I and II, the meeting continued with a discussion of the Audit Committee’s work program led by KA Chairman Prof. Dr. Kartini, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA. and the Secretariat work program by the Executive Secretary Prof. Dr. Ir. Asmuddin Natsir, M.Sc. accompanied by the Head of Secretariat Dr. Ir. Ifayanti Ridwan Saleh, SP. M.P.

As a series of MWA working meeting activities, the group was invited to attend a dinner at the residence of the Indonesian Minister of Investment, Mr. Bahlil Lahadalia, including the Chancellor’s Secretary, Dr. Ir. Sawedi and Deputy Chancellor 4 Unhas, Prof. Dr. Eng. Adi Maulana, ST. M.Phil. on Tuesday evening July 11, 2023.
